    code 1106 and MAP sensor

    i have the code 1106 on my zaf gsi and im hoping you guys would be able to help in getting rid of it i have a feeling its the map sensor because its had some abuse off the old turbo seals leaking oil through.

    the car is crap as its in limp mode and need to get it sorted as my wife is due anytime now so id be grateful of any help...

    where can i get a MAP sensor from and as cheap as possible or has anyone on here got 1 for sale??

    Try cleaning it carefully first as it may have oil all over it.

    im going to give that a crack in the morning mate fingers crossed thats all that needs, where would the cheapest place be to get 1 if it is fubared??

    cud be air flow meter £140 or boost solinoid £20 map sensor around £20/£30

    if the turbo is 2nd hand cud be the acuator is at fault if its not holding boost correctly

    i think the actuator is ok because the gauge shows its holding boost when i got my foot down even when in limp mode, i just got a feeling its the map sensor because the intercooler was full of oil when the last turbo seals went,

    it cud be full of oil then clean it and see how it goes

    can you clean the afm and boost sensor on the intercooler with carb cleaner also whats the best way to check if the wastegate is stuck or actuator is fubared and if the bcs is working and how to clean it??
