    two options:
    1) order the same key (blade) from vaux, using the Chassis number
    2) go to local scrappies and get all the locks (ignition/door/boot) and TWO keys (blades) and fit them.

The keyfob bit 'slides' off the key blade so it looks like this (Dont loose the transponder chip):

If it's snapped then only option is to go to vauxhall as you need the key to remove ignition barrel so can't replace it.

Depends where the other part of the key is.

If its snapped in the ignition barrel than it wil need to be removed/replaced.

if ur mate has the car pass with the key number on

then theres a few sellers on ebay who can send u a key pre-cut to this number so it fits the car straight off

most however are just regular transponder keys - ie where they have to turn in the door - not with a remote....

but if ur mate still has the remote from his old one, it would be enough to get him by until can afford a better long term solution

opcom would be needed to programme in the new key **unless he kept the broken key on his fob so the transponder pairs with the ignition etc**
