Astra MK4 Angel Eye headlights with HID Conversion Kit?

Hey guys, I'm new here and just have a couple of questions about these headlights.

Basically I am looking to get a set of angel eye headlights such as these:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA...item4aa0c99c71

And I am also interested in getting a HID conversion kit (8000k) such as this:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/H7-SLIM-HID-CO...item35aece8da7

    Now for my questions!

If I do go ahead with the angel eye's, would the H7's fit them or would I need a different set of bulbs? Also would the HID look just be coming from the bulbs or also from the halo rings, or would I need a seperate set of HID's to power the halo rings? Because I want the "full" HID look.

Also I can see 3 little bulbs sockets on the inside part of the angel eye's, does anyone know what those are used for?

Thank's a lot for your help, very much appreciated!

    Welcome mate

I believe those headlights are H1 fitment but please check with the seller

The HId's will only come from the headlight and not the halo rings or main beam. There is no way to make the halo rings hid although you may be able to get them white if they aren't already

Finally the 3 bulbs to the side are side lights so will work at the same time as the halo rings

    Hello and welcome.

As autosparks says these are H1 fitment on both bulbs. The halo rings are white but fairly dull and these come on aswell as the LED's when the sidelights are switched on. I'm not guna lie to you my friend i purchased these with a 35watt HID kit and i personally think they are piss poor. Im awaiting a 55watt kit to see if they are any better and if not i will be taking them back out. I've also had to upgrade my fogs just to see a bit of the road on dipped beam. Saying that i might just have a dodgey pair, let me know how you get on!!

    Andy

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Okay thanks for the information guys. Do you happen to know if the sidelights use the same 501 bulbs?

Hmm that's interesting Andy, let me know is the 55watt kit is any better! I'll let you know when I've got them installed.

I have those same lights but got mine from SuperNova's. Big mistake. They're terrible at customer service and as soon as they get your money they won't talk to you.
The 3 small holes have small SMD LED's. They're bright white. The ring are white but not as bright as the individual side light LED's. They're H1 fitment.
They also say "No HID bulbs" or something like that. I've spoke to ? Ozmastero ? about his HID kits and he claims that they won't damage the light. Just waiting for the kit to arrive now. Then I'll let you know. If you want.
The beam pattern on mine came perfect, but the amount of light actually on the road is terrible. It's as if there is no lights on your car at all. Can't see more than 10 metres at night time.

Tested HID's for few days now. They work fine. Didn't melt my lights.

55w kit are for off roading ONLY and will melt your headlights. I guess it just depends on the kit you buy. There is a chap on here selling decent sets of HIDS
