    Door card re-fitting

    How the ballz do the silver clip things work at the top I pulled the door card and they all fell off so I haven't a clue lol. Cheers for any help

    if they are the same as the mk5 then then clip to door card and then clip over the door frame near the glass

    Thinking of changing my speakers & would like to put the cards back on properly but still stuck with these silver pissy clips still. I found a thread ages ago but cant find it now. any help much appreciated!

    you need to hook the shorter edge (i think) of them under the door card first, get them all in the right place then push the rubber strip into place. be careful not to drop them down the door card or you'll be swearing a lot. there's a technique to getting them to hook under the door card but it's hard to explain. angle them and then push the top of the door card down onto them. hope this makes sense

    best bet is to pop down to a walk-around scrappy, find an astra and pull the window strip off slowly to see how the metal clips are attached

    Irritating things. Pathetic design imo, on my corsa b the bottom half of the doorcard came off making it a 20 min job to change the speakers.

    i just fitted sri seats and doorcards to my astra i found the same problem with the silver clips u put them on to the rubber and clip them to the door there a pain in the tits took me about a hr to figure it out

    or you just leave the rubber strip on the door card and remove it all as one. theyre not meant to come off. I know they dont come off easily but a pry bar in there to just ease the rubber strip off with the door card does the trick. they are a pain we have alot of them in at work.

    theyre not supposed to push onto the rubber first, they need to hook under the door card first then you can push the rubber down into them otherwise the strips won't sit properly as i found out
