Not sure if this is the place to post this but just wanted to warn as many people as possible and hopefully save someone from the distress I'm currently enduring.
4 weeks ago the gearbox (Good old M32) failed and after much shopping around I found a supplier from a parts quote engine called breaker yard. A supplier called ***** based in Bolton confirmed they had one in stock and would supply for £500. 1 week later I have no delivery (although understandable due to the snow) I called them and they confirmed they'd delivered it incorrectly to Newcastle and would be re-directed.
To cut a long story short they wouldn't give me a tracking number and when the gearbox still hadn't arrived 2 weeks later they became very evasive and wouldn't answer my phone so I sent them an email stating that I'd report them for credit card fraud. And they replied saying they'd tested the gear box (this is now the 16th of dec) that it was faulty and they'd refund me the next day.
I still haven't received a refund so emailed them last night and got a reply saying to email a very similar email address on google email, that the company had been sold on the 16/11 and the refund was no longer their repsonsibility - odd as I didn't even order the gearbox until the week after.
I've complained to the website "*******.com" who are the parts broker who put me onto alpha and their "complaints department" are yet to get back to me.
I now don't have a car until the 30th (5 weeks after it failed) and my christmas plans are completely buggered. hope this helps someone to not make the same mistake as me.
