    MK4 Cambelt?

HI guys got a 2003 plate 1600cc sxi 5 door astra mk4. Got a small oil leak in the crank shaft and can belt was last done 60,000 miles ago so gonna get that done at the same time. Anyideas how much a cam belt fitted is roughly? Anyone had theres done lately? Also ive been told the water pump i should do at the same time as it would be worth it? ONce again any experiences with this? Rough Price? Cheers guys.

    depends where you take it

    vauxhall £250 ish

    local garage £150 ish

    yourself £parts

its also advised to change the waterpump at the same time as its in the same place pretty much

should be an hours work for a competant garage

in principle it isnt that hard, but timing it up correctly is difficult

if you get it even a tooth out it will run like a dog

as lewis said, get it done by a proffesional
