easy job use a plastic spreader to slide it under the badge a heat gun or hair dryer to warm up the double sided tape and then the badge should come off easy will a small amount of pressure then its a case of using WD40 petrol or best of all tar and glue remover to take the tape off. And then its just a case of slapping the new one on

Was also thinking of removing the rear griffin badge on my coupe/convertible, but would like to know where the two locating holes are positioned, horozonitally or vertically??

The reason I ask is so I know what kinda badge I'd be looking to buy to cover the holes Irmscher i logo for vertical or Irmscher for across th horozonital holes??

    Thanks.

What i did was heat up the griffin badge with heat gun, not to much and be carefull not to melt the 3rd brake light! either plastic speader and prize off gently or dental floss behind the badge ( like a knife through butter) then sticky stuff remover on the old mucky adehesive. polish the surface and stick on shiney new 64mm opel badge
