Creaking Roof Rails on Astra H in SubZero Temps

I just noticed that in the Sub Zero temps on my Astra H Sri Estate that the roof Rails creek & groan when you go around tight undulating corners

It's quite annoying & can be replicated by pushing & pulling them side to side...

Does anybody else have this Extra Feature ??

Reminds me of the Old VW Advert, Where the Old Chap at the garage goe's around oiling everything on the Car !! & it turns out to be his Girlfriends Earring that swung & squeaked !!!!

If i look down the side of the Rail that is nearest the Ariel when i do get the creaks, I can see small amounts of Frozen Water, If i thaw these out , the Creak Stops ... Roll on Summer

I don't suppose you giving your girlfriend a quick squirt would do any harm

But yes that was for the roof rails , the joints where the roof rails attach to the roof there are washers which are made from a rubbery foam , I'm guessing these are staying wet due to the weather ,
and then they freeze solid causing the creaking
