    rear fogs not working? :(

took my car for its mot last week, it failed on a few things, i have done all the other things (full new copper break pipes, front brakes back in balance, new cat, new headlight bracket) but, the thing thats got me confused.... the bloody fog light wont work. I have checked the bulbs, there fine. tried a new light switch unit, i just dont get whats up? are the rear fogs on a relay? the sidelights are working so it cant be that fuse. now, when i press the foglight button, the yellow light doesnt come on on the dash anymore like it usually does when your fogs are on,
anyone know what i can try?
    cheers,
    Rob.

Silly question, but you are testing this when also having your main headlights switched on aren't you? The fogs won't work unless at least your sidelights are on.

Well, I got the fogs working eventually, it was the block connector at the back of the light switch unit not pushed. All the way onto the light unit. However, I still can't find out why my speedo lights are not working

Sorry, do you meant the connector on the switch in the dash or on the actual light units themselves in the boot?

I'm having the exact same issue with the fogs..... no light on dash, but no blown fuse.

    Thanks in advance

you will probably find that when your pushing the light switch unit into the dash, the block on the back is being pushed away and not all the terminals are connecting fully, you can take your speedo clocks out and push it on by hand... thats probably the easiest way to do it. thats what was up with mine.

    Cool,

Thanks for that, will give it a go over weekned as I too have the MOT due in a few weeks.

Surely the switch itself is easier to remove then the speedo?

How does the switch come off anyway?

    Thanks
