Talking So who's chipped there CDTI SRI 150

I'm looking at getting mine done along with an exhaust & I have seen a few options

1st Superchips bluefin gains 31bhp sensible choice

2nd a DTUK tuning box gains 56bhp nutters choice

I am swaying towards the latter due to the power increase but will it cause problems as my car has 70k and I'm worried about the clutch and turbo etc.

Has anyone had there's done and what were the results like

    Cheers guy's

I have a CDTi 888. it's done about 75k, and it blew the gearbox a couple of months ago. Had it renewed on warranty though. But all remaped CDTi's cause great strain on the gearbox due to its high torque. I know of 2 other mapped CDTi's around me that have had new gearboxes too.
You're fine as long as you don't do racing starts all the time, and accelerate hard everywhere.
It's also had a new turbo on warranty.

I ran my CDTI on a DTUK box at 197 BHP, 362 torque (got print out sumwer...)

Was megga fun, and i could pull away from a lot of cars... but .... my car ended up in vauxhall about 3-4 times over it (obv just took box of and it was covered by warranty )

Got that fed up i sold it for a vxr lol...

Regardless of whether you get a tuning box or remap you will kill your gearbox and/or clutch if you hammer it from a standing start. Just use gradual power and it should be fine.

had a crd2 tuning box on for 4-5 months, gearbox went and was changed under warranty.....tuning box was great but think the gearboxes struggle to cope....I do 25k a year so took it off to save my gearbox!
