wheel sensor wiring from abs unit to n/s front hub

    right where to start

i went to vauxhall because my abs/tc light is on and my speedo is not working to get a diagnosis and the fault come up for the n/s/ hub so i changed that and the speedo still did not work and the lights were still on but i thought a ecu reset might cure that.
went back to vauxhall and same problem still occurs. all the other 3 wheel sensors were reading a response on the tech 2 but not the n/s front.

my next task is to check the wiring properly running to the abs unit. ive checked the wiring diagram and its a ble and brown wire from pins 6 and 7 but im buggered how to get to the wiring.

if anyone could help it would be a great help.

Are you struggling to unplug the ABS ECU? It's alot easier with the relax box above removed

well im clueless about electrics, i need to check the wiring from the abs unit to the front n/s wheel sensor . it looks a lot easier if i removed the electronics control unit above the abs unit and the cooloant resiveour to get to the wiring but im not sure....

is there a seperate harness for that sensor to the abs unit??

Removing the coolant bottle won't help

Your going to need to have a multimeter on resistance setting and with the ABS and hub sensor unplugged check each wire from the hub to ABS.

There is no seperate wiring loom apart from what you have unplugged already

thats good news.... im going to take the plug from the abs unit to the wheel sensor connection and do a continuity test on it to see if the cable is good all the way up,

so its just one wire from connection of the wheels sensor the the abs unit?

another stupid question is how does the abs unit plug come off, i see there is a grey bit to clide and then it should just pull off i presume, battery disconnected of course...

There are 2 wires as you have already said above with it being pins 6 and 7?

Have a look at the fitting TC how-to for removing the plug

i got the abs plug out and tested the pins on the plug and the wheel sensor connection and everything seems ok, done it on the offside just too make sure and its the same. so i presume there is no break in the wiring,

i tested the pins on the abs plug to a ground and wiggles the wheel sensor cable and got a dodgy reading. could it be the wire from the wheels sensor plug to the abs unit is shorting on some bodywork or something else,

im really getting a headache from this now,,,

When you tested to ground was the wheel sensor plugged in?
