    Quick Q splicing cigarette lighter

Hi looking at running a charger for my phone in the car but don't want it in view. So I am thinking how do you cut into the cable correctly? And will I need a switch to turn it off?
    Thanks

Just solder a second ciggy lighter behind the dash and take the wiring onto the factory one. Blacks ignition live and browns earth so there will be no need for a switch.
