Washers Not Working on Mk 5

    Hi all,

The Washers on my Astra H SRI-XP seem to have stopped working and it is getting a little difficult to see!!!!!

The bottle is full and the motor is working as I replaced it last week and the nozzles aren't blocked as they are new as well, anyone with any ideas of what it might be..

    Cheers

If the bottle is full, and the motor is working, it sounds as if it might just be ice in the nozzle outlets. Could try a little warm/semi-hot water over the nozzles and see if that helps.
Doesn't sound like the fuse has blown if the motor is still working.

Similar problem. The washers stopped working at the start of the big freeze. I assumed there was a frozen blockage somewhere and it would right its self once there was a good thaw..... it did'nt. There is water in the bottle etc. Jet heads are clear. Apart from the fuse as mentioned is there anything else I should look for?
    Cheers

When you spray the washer jets, can you hear the pump whirring away? If not then the fuse is gone, just replace that.

I have same problem with my rear wash, Evans Halshaw meant to sort it two weeks ago and done same thing, there useless anyway, only went in for a recall on ignition. Had same issues with front washers, flushed with hot water and they are better than ever now, rear one will just not clear !!!, Any more ideas would be handy.

Tried the flush through with hot/warm water again and also the pin in end of nozzle to see if anything in there, still not working. Pump is still whirring so cannot be the fuse.

I hav a similar prob on mine the front washers worker after holding the washers on for few seconds it seems to be struggling to spray like there low pressure i cant get the back to work at all but when they are sprayed iv notices a lil bit of water running down from by the bulk head havent really had good look under neath but obv must b a leak between the front and rear but cant see any obv splits. Does any 1 kno if there 2 pipes of the motor or is there just the 1 that splits into 2. Where is the piping run from front to back. i had to change the black clip on the front that washer jet which i thought was causing the loss of pressure but it didnt solve it this is when i notices the water dripping underneath

sounds like the washer pump fuse has blown,
the boot is in the same circuit on some models
so if the boot wont open and the washers dont work then the fuse has gone
