    My new alloys for summer

I just need new summer tyres as the ones I got with the rims are..

    1) too big (215/50 R17)
    2) in pieces as they were sitting with the wheels in a garage for years and the rubber is in rather poor condition

I hope my car will still look standard with those wheels

Because the ones he has are only 16's and he wants something bigger, different from the norm, but still OEM. Which those will be

I'll keep the old ones for winter tyres so it's not like I'm getting rid of them.

I like the new alloys more though, and they will look better with lower profile tyres.. Also the old ones are 16 inch, the new ones are 17s.

Old wheels are 16 inch with 205/50 R16 tyres

New 17 inch wheels will be with 215/45 R17 tyres

The wheels came off Vauxhall Signum 3.0 CDTi Elite so tyres are too big atm. The guy who sold them to me has 19 inch Vauxhall wheels on his car

EDIT: Also was thinking about GSI or SRI-T wheels, but in the end I wanted something different, something that nobody else has on his Astra hopefully

Is 215/40 R17 a standard tyre size for GSI, SRI-T? If yes that that's the size I want then..

My attempt to photoshop (or gimp actually).. I just couldn't be bothered to add brake disc though.

    I like it

EDIT: Also the old alloys are ET49 the new ones ET41.. so alloys will go 8mm further to outside of the car filling up arches a bit nicer. Am I right?

215/40/17 is the standard tyre size for Astra G 17" wheels

Here is a picture of Teejay's old Astra with them fitted (though I think they had 215/45/17 tyres fitted
