    Pre Heater light 1.7DTI

Last few days the coil light on the dash seems to be going out very quickly, as it would on summer mornings. Car still starts but only just I think the timer or relay is on it's way out am I on the right track?

Hi guys am interested in this as I have a 1.7DTI and the glow plug light is not coming on regardless of temp, the glow plugs have no power to them so I gues I have a problem with the pre heater relay or timer or temp sensor but I dont know how to determine which is faulty or where they are?

^^^ relay is down the right hand side of the battery box metal like heat sink looking thing with a plug in the bottom

as for the others mine is the same is because the temps have been higher around 5c or so i dont think they kick in till around 3c

    Hi Guys,

I have a 1.7dTI eco4 aswell which the light is either not coming on or goes out very very quickly, could this be down to the temp sensor?

I have ordered a Op-com which I am waiting to arrive but the car will not start at the moment, the battery drains down very quickly aswell, the gauges appear to reverse action, Fan even comes on after trying to start it for an extended period.

    Confused

    Mark
