Not having a good day today..
Got up to a freezing house as the boiler broke. Informed the landlord who called a plumber and its gonna cost £120 + VAT + labor to fix and its only 4 weeks old, it was fitted and finished a few days before we moved it.
He said get it fixed and take the difference off the rent... Shame its due tomorrow!!!
Still at least the power shower works...
Slid down the road to my car this morning and de-iced it. Got turned the key and it was a bit hesitant to start but it started on the first turn (probably took about 20 seconds to start)
Drop to Morrisons petorl station (cheapest in town £1.15) filled up with £10, paid and got in the car, turned the key lights on the display came on but nothing else.
Pushed the car to the carwash part of the petrol station as htey had closed it off and waled over the road to ATS.
They came of the the car and jump started it, and then they did a battry test and found the following results:
Start Capacity 77%
255a EN >0 deg C
Regulator Volt: Low
Switch on Load to Confirm - Press Enter-Key
They said I will need a new battery and an alternator. They can supply the battery but not the alternator which will set me back £250 for the whole job.
Anyway off the the garge they recommended and they did the tests and said alternator is fine, just the battery is a on its way out. Has the vauxhall logo on it and looks pretty old.
So £67 later new battery fitted which shoud go in a diesel car, turned the key started instantly. They said leave the alternator and see how it goes..
Pulled out of the garage, got stopped by a copper who said my lights are a bit dark, so bought brighter blubs from Halfrauds. 4 red and 2 orange for the rears and 2 side orange blubs. Couldn't see any difference but he said it look ed much better
Got to work only not able to log into the systems....
to top it all I feel really rough as I can't shake off this cold!!!
On a plus note I sold a broken laptop for £104 so at leats its has gotten brighter!!!
