    do i need new valve stem seals or rings

    drove my car home and left it running for ten when got home and started to smell oil from exhaust fumes.its az20let and done roughly 60k still with original turbo still boosting fine so would this be my valve stem seals or rings?

    with 60k il put my neck out and possibly says its turbo seals

    i would be happy if its turbo seals as have new turbo to put on but didnt think turbo would smoke on idle thought only on boost or am i wrong.

    turbo would smoke on idle,mine did when seals went,take precat off and have a look

    look for what mate?oil? but there would be oil for stem seals rings and turbo seals wudnt ther as thats were it would exit.there isnt loads of play in the shaft but that just says bearing is ok not the seals.am i best waiting to see if it starts smoking on boost then i no its turbo seals?

    Take a plug out and see if its covered in oil.

    If not its the turbo.
