    Pre cat pipe

How do you remove the pre cat on z20let! Had a look and doesn't look that easy. Working on car jacked up on drive which must make it harder!!

V band clamp at the top, so one bolt... and then dependant on what style precat you have , either 3 bolts at the bottom of the precat/cat pipe joint, or if you have the all in one type it will unbolt at the reat of the main cat section...

Yh it's the clamp I'm having trouble with. Talents you nees a spanner on the top nut and the the torx bit after the spring to allow it to undo? Just want to take it off from the turbo side

Yeah you only need a torx bit for the top as said above the tricky bit is keeping the two flanges together and making sure the clamp is over both halves. Don't envy you doing it on your drive though.

the clamp if not been off for a while can be a little stiff, before you put it back use some copper grease of something on the threads so it runs through the nut smoother

these things are so annoying lol, especially putting them back on. even harder when on the floor using a jack. iv done mine twice now and used 8mm socket on 2 extenions and a 1/4 inch ratchet. ul feel it loosen off after abit then u need to kind of pullit apart to open it up. when u put the new 1 on, i jacked ip upto the bottom off the turbo. i think it would be impossible without using the jack on ur own as u need to line it up perfect and keep it there.
