i think, mate to make it easier you would be better of getting a NAS (network attached storage) drive and a wireless or networkable printer which is compatible with both mac and windows. It a ball ache trying to get xp and windows 7 network together nevermind an OS from a different family.

    Hi

The printer I've got is wireless HP one which the apple site recommend but it just doesn't want to connect wireless with the mac, Its either I connect to the internet or the printer which cant be right can it? Thats why I thought about doing a home network and having the printer on the network

    Many thanks

    Tom

Has your printer got an ethernet interface though, cos if so use a wired connection to your router into one of the ports, there should be four there (on the back of the router) if its an ISP one.
