    Another bad day!

Well, if you have read my diary, then you will know about this all ready, if not, read on.

My day started out like any other normal saturday when I'm not working, woke up late ish, pottered about. Decided to change my alloys to the winter steelies with the good tyres.
That went well, but then got a phone call from my friend who wanted me to come over.... that is when the trouble started!

Got half way there and a driveshaft decided to fail on me!
Yes another one! I only just replaced one last week with a recon unit!
Well had to break off the arrangement and limped back home. Got changed, limped to the nearest scrap yard, and was lucky enough to find a slightly rough but perfectly usable driveshaft that would fit. £15 saw that in my possesion and then it was off to my mates at Kwikfit Oswestry.
Good lads they are, changed it for the grand sum of £20!
but I was pretty annoyed that it had gone! since I only just changed the other (O/S one replaced, N/S one that went today)
Thankfully, it didnt go on me on the way to Chester tomorrow, picking up mums new car.

Thanks bud, yeah, it may be an old motor, but I love it to bits (hopefully not literally)
To be honest, its been really reliable, only let me down twice before when the alternator packed up, flattening the battery and when the starter motor packed up as well.
So in 2 1/2 years, I suppose 4 breakdowns arnt bad for a car thats done nearl 140k miles

yeah, it certainly has mate, paid for itself.
Bought it 2 1/2 years ago as a stop gap between cars (after I crashed my pug 106) and I've had it ever since. Paid £300 for it, and it was in a right state, have a look in my project thread diary and you will see what it came from to where it is now
