    mk4 coilover question

    i have just fitted coilovers onto my g and getting a knocking noise but also sounds like the spring turning round, do i use the standerd rubber bit that goes on the top of the spring :/ connfudled someone please help

    yeah use the top rubber mount also sounds like you need to fit the top strut bearing from your old shock on to your coilover this goes in the middle of the top rubber and the bottom plate that comes with coilover,

    yeah i used the top rubber, top strut bearing not to sure which bit you are on about there?

    what i think hes saying is when you took your old shocks off, did you remove the top mount rubber and top mount bearing off and put them on the coilovers? does seem like you have forgotten to put the bearing in, mate of mine had forgotten to put his on and was getting this noise so bought it to me and fitted the bearings, not had a problem since
