Gmail being accessed from indonesia? Hacked account? Anyone else had this?

I usually access gmail via outlook express, although today i had to check my spam box.

Log on to see a warning message saying my account was accessed via indonesia. Click this link for info.

So i do & it says it was accessed 3 days ago from an unknown browser.

I'm very sceptical though - as while any password isn't hack-proof, i consider my password to be quite strong. It's made up of numbers and letters, upper & lower case & the main part of my password isn't even a proper word. It's not like i've selected "password" as my password.

    Anyone else had these messages?

No, i logged on wanting to view my spam folder

Before i even got to it i got this notice.

Click the last logged on link at the bottom of your inbox & it shows me this indonesia entry.

It wasn't a spam email telling me this.

One of the passengers of the 206 has a thai bride thing going on...but he used your brothers name.
Unfortunately the name was lost in translation.....so you got the thai brides 3 eldest brother, who happens to be a bit computer savvy....and has hacked your account.

    They are normally 'Phishing' emails.

Ala click on the link to log in so you can check if its been hacked or not. But by logging in you are giving them the details they need,

    Just delete it.

It wasn't an email & it can be viewed by the standard link at the bottom of your inbox which tells you your log on history.

It doesn't apply in any of my other gmail accounts & malwarebytes, spybot & adaware pick up nothing.

Think should just change your password for a good measure then. By any chance have you logged on via your phone, internet cafe, or used an ip changer as all of these could have the same effect

Kev theres a part of Gmail where you can check what IP address have accessed your gmail account. Unless you put your username and password into some linking site, similar to Facebooks 'find a friend who is on gmail' " your details wont be saved" aye right!
