    blown fuse?

went too fitt led 501's tonight in the front/rear interia lights,(mk4 gsi)fitted the 4 front ones ok but went to fitt the rear 2 and first the little metal tabs on the cover plate(rear roof light)was hitting the led's,is it ok to just bend them up out the way?(i think it just too stop the bulbs falling out),and second i kept blowing the 5amp fuse..
is this because i had 1 of the rear 2 led's round the wrong way??.. i did'nt want to keep blowing fuses so thought i'd ask first..cheer's.

You might find you actually have a faulty LED causing the fuse to blow

tried again today(using same led 501 bulbs)and every time i flick the switch the 5 amp fuse keeps blowing..i tried turning the bulbe round but no joy,the front map lights are fine.. so the fuse should not keep blowing then. i will try some differant led's i think and if it keeps blowing sod it i will keep the p*ss yellow ones!!cheer's.
