    Changed Thermostat now problem

    Hi,
Garaged changed my thermostat yesterday as old one was stuck open a bit. When I drove it home last night the temp gauge did not move off zero, although it did creep up when standing in traffic. This morning I started it up to find the coolant not running back into the top of the bottle...so I'm guessing must have an air lock??
Is there anything I can do, or just take it back to garage...

    Thanks

Take the cap off and run the engine for 15 minutes or so, should get rid of the airlock chap. If that doesn't work then I'd take it back

An airlock will have the opposite effect and cause it to overheat until the airlock clears. Running cold, stat is open and flow is going through radiator all the time, so either stat is duff, incorrectly fitted or missing?

Umm, i had those symptoms on mine BEFORE the stat was changed.

    Stat change sorted that out.

OK, I tried running it for 30 mins. Something Bizarre is happening, with a bit of Rev's the temp guage goes up, BUT the water is running into the bottle from the wrong hose...As u look at the bottle should be one on left, but is coming from front middle....I checked on my m8's car and he's runs fine, so I'm not going mad..

Is it doing it constantly? I'd take it back to the garage that did it and complain.
