1999 T Reg Astra 16V Hatchback dodgy Indicator switch / stalk?

    Hi All,
my car's headlight main beam sometimes gets ON itself while Im driving. seems like dodgy indicator stalk.

Is it easy to change the stalk myself?
And how can I get cheap indicator stalk other than Vauxhall Dealer which is quite expensive?
    cheers
    DG

Yep it's the stalk, have to take the steering column shrouds off (explained in one of the guides) to replace it. E-bay, scrappers or for sale section should net you one for under a tenner.

Cheers mate, do I need to take the steering wheel first in order to take the shrouds off?

no need to remove the wheel

u have to turn it 1/4 turn each way to access the screws that hold the fronts of the shrouds on but thats it

^^ What he said, hardest part is getting them to clip back together correctly when refitting, there's lots of wires under there that like to get in the way, lol.
