    Post Whining noise

I need some more help please guys. When I start my astra it is whining sounds more like a breathing problem as goes up and down as I rev, it's not massively loud but just wondered if it's normal, gets abit quieter as it warms up. Iv changed all breather pipes and airbox is standard.

might be your clutch release bearing, does it change pitch or stop when u depress the clutch?

Sometimes it will effect it, hopefully its not the bearing going lol, another thing is the powersteering, they make a whining noise as standard, and the pitch increases as u steer does this change it? and if its louder than usual you could need to top up the oil on the powersteering pump.

Not cheap lol, im pretty sure u gotta drop the bottom frame to get to the clutch, plus the clutch is hydraulic so that doesnt help lol. Other than that thats all i can think of need to here the noise in person to diagnose lol

that would be more of a squeeking noise, and it would squeek more whilst under load, e.g lights, heater, de mister everything going all at once will create a load on the belt n make it squeek. Very loud noise lol
