I have had a million questions in regards to my 'Home Lights' I made for my car.
As its was a little thing for the Astra I always wanted I am now going to share this information with you.
NOTE: this is a lot of hassle and does require some electrical knowledge, remember perfection takes a little bit longer.
Anyways here is the devised system i'm talking about:

To do this, you need to follow this schematic:
This is my design so if you going to copy it at least give me some recognition.
Following the schematic 'Home Lights' version 1.2.
You can see that there is a positive ignition required from the Rear Fuse Box.
This wire is connected to the relay as shown going to the electromagnet.
The opposite end is earthed to the chassis.
We now take a positive feed from the rear number plate light to the NC pin of the relay.
The NO pin of the relay has nothing attached.
The main pin (centre pin) travels all the way to the front of the car to where it is joined to the electromagnet.
As before the opposite end it earthed to the chassis.
Now you you must take a feed from the battery which will be used to power the fogs, this has to be fused at 15A to the centre pin.
Then wire the NO pin to the 2 fog lights.
The NC pin has nothing attached.
So as you can see when the ignition is switched on the first relay switches so nothing is connected so the fogs will not turn on.
When the ignition is off the relay is connected so if the rear number plate light comes on the power will move to the 2nd relay which will in turn switch that one on which will deliver the power to the fog lights.
As you can see the relay delivers the power to what you have connected it up to, sp whether it be fog lights, angel eyes, headlights, etc etc.
Any of those external nodes can be activated using this system.
here is a few pics of me doing this process:
