    ABS sensor problems

    Hi,

My SRI-t has had a fault for a while now when the ABS and TC lights would come on intermittently.

Put it on op-com, tells me:

C0035 - Front Left Wheel Sensor Open Circuit
    (04) - Present

It would go away now and then, but recently it came on full time.

Come MOT time, I replaced the O/S wheel bearing (Right) as it was wobbling. ABS & TC lights were still on, I was hoping they would go off for the MOT but no. So I went and replaced the N/S wheel bearing (Left) too.

Lights are STILL on, but now its showing:

    C0040 Present
( 4 ) Front Right Wheel Sensor Open Circuit

I have check the connections, they are fine. Left sensor is providing speed readings, right is not.

The bearing is brand new, surely the sensor isnt ****ed?

Did some tests on the bearing and wiring.

Getting 4.65v to the sensor plug, so the wiring is fine.

Infinite resistance between the pins of the sensor plug, not sure if this means its not working or what?

There is a Vauxhall callback on some abs systems I had a call back on my 2005 corsa Sri abs and that had the same symptoms.
