How many windscreen claims in a year?

I had a claim in September, end of ... £70 later i had a new windscreen.

Driving home tonight,t here was an almighty whack on my windscreen as though a great stone had hit it but i saw nothing.

Looking at i t in the dark is difficult to tell, but it looks like there's a crack that follows the drivers windscreen wiper path, but then part way up, it cuts in.

My first claim didn't affect my NCDs, but since then, i've had them reduced after someone ran into me, which they saw as my fault.

Obviously, they're not going to allow you to claim a cracked windscreen every week, so what happens? Would they let 2 go do you reckon?
Anyone had to go through similar? I'm with Admiral if it makes a difference.

Figured i'd ask here as i can't see diddly squat until daylight anyway.

EDIT: I ran my nail over what i think is the crack, but my nail doesn't catch on it any. I would think it'd maybe be best to get done at this time of year as perhaps the freezing & thawing will make it worse, but i'm not wanting to lose my NCDs over a bloody windscreen.

Your NCD will be untouched due to windscreen claims.(i work for admiral so can 100% say that!) not sure what the limit on amount of claims is though for windscreens

I had two claims in the space of a couple of days, doesn't matter, just another 70 quid out of pocket, i'd only done 18 miles since the first one got replaced

at the end of the day, the £70 covers pretty much all of the cost of the glass and its just the fitting/call out charge they pay for iirc, so i don't think it would be a problem, i had mine replaced then 2 days later the car was written off, sods law really!

    Cheers chaps.

Good job that i left any call until today. What looked like a crack in the dark last night, turned out to only be a scratch in the daylight. Pretty big scratch mind, and one i'll have to keep my eye on, but i don't think it'd be considered a crack.
