    LED'd My MFD and now.....

    Hi All...

Got my mate down the garage to change my dash, centre console and MFD lights to RED LED,s and now have a small problem...

On the MFD all looks fine, but when it came to nighttime, I noticed that the MFD still appears to be slightly lit up, even when the car has the ignition off and is locked???? Anyone have any ideas why this is and how to correct it??

Also, I was one bulb short in the Kit I purchased so My milage display is still Orange... Can someone please confirm that it is a 509t I will need for this? I have been told there are 2 types of bulb and want to be sure I am getting the right one...

    Many Thanks Pete

most cars have a small residual current from the electrics , because leds need much less power to illuminate , you can see them with led bulbs and not with filament bulbs

    that make sense >?

Mileage/MFD/speedo dials/heater controls all use the same bulb fitment.

The 2 or 3 heater control buttons need soldered LEDs on (rear demister/aircon/recirc), and the cigarette lighter is different too, but the rest are the same.
