    Cigarette lighter

Hi all, hope everyone is doing dandy this morning.

Just a quick one guys, I have a 52 plate 1.7DTi astra and wonderred if any of you knew which fuse supplys the cigarette lighter.

I have had a lok through the old haynes manual and it stated it should be 36, however I checked this fuse and it looked fine too me. Anyway I replaced it to cure my curiosity and I still have the same problem, no power from it.

Not that I ever use it for lighting cigarettes but I do a lot of intercity driving and having the old Tom Tom at hand to navigate the urban streets is a life saver and I have been struggling for a few weeks without it now.

Any help would be a god send

If the fuse in the car is ok have you checked the fuse in the tom tom plug, should be a simple case of unscrewing the knurled nut on the base of the plug, make sure you dont loose the spring.

If that has gone make sure you get the correct fuse from a tom tom dealer.

I woudl suspect that but the TomTom works in my step fathers car no problem. I also have an iTrip iPhone charger which does not work from there eiter, not to omention that the acutal cigarette lighter doesnt work. Defo something wrong with either the fuse or the wiring.

    It is fuse 36......

The vauxhall ciggy socket is useless at holding satnavs/ phone chargers etc. Wiggle the socket around a bit with it plugged in and i'm sure you'll see it spring to life
