    Question engine conversion

i recently bought a 03 astra van, its got the 1.7 tdi engine but its smoking heavily, thinking turbo gone or piston rings or seals, so ive got a 1.8 coupe sitting at home being broken so am gonna do an engine swap, how difficult would this be? could i use the same looms?

Just in the middle of doing a similar conversion but other way round. Think you will need to swap the loom behind the dash as well as ecu etc.

cant be too hard, havnt got the £1400 to £1600 laying around to buy a let lol, so the 1.8 thats going in will be fine, i like a challenge plus got a coupe sat here next to the van so can swap all parts if neccessary. will get pics up of before and after.
