    Changing coupe aerial gasket

I have ordered on Ebay what I hope is the correct replacement for my weathered looking rubber aerial gasket.
I had a quick look this morning and the headlining needs to come away quite abit to access the nut to remove the aerial.
Has anybody changed this on a coupe who can offer some advice as to what they did?
    Thanks

Hey, I removed my aerial base the other day, also on a coupe. Theres a couple of things that will work, without removing the lining, bit fiddly and tight, but you can take it off pulling the linin down jus enough to get ur hands in basically....The nut should be 17mm, it's not all that tight, a stepped ring spanner, pair of pliers or a 1/2" socket (Thread the plug through, dont add the ratchet on). Tha plug is about 8" or so down from the aerial base, jus **** an pull off the sticky foamed stuff.....Hope this helps. Goodluck!

It says it doesnt fit the astra aerials with rear washer but it did on mine. just dumped it in some hot water so it was stretchable and it went on with no trouble at all.

Just a straight swap I take it i.e. no modding to aerial base required?

    Sorry to threadjack se6.....

Yer thats the one I ordered. I ordered and paid last Monday at 7pm and it was delivered Tuesday morning! Incredbile service!
Its not a 100% perfect fit, but its 100 times better than the awful looking thing that was on there before!

That's a picture of mine, it's actually a good fit and far cheaper than a new aerial base.
