    normal running temp

    hi could anyone tell me what the normal running temperature is on a astra mk4 sri 2.0

    most will sit around mid 80's whilst driving, higher if standstill

    85-90 sometimes higher

    If it goes anymore than 90 e.g 95-100 then you have an issue. But usually anywhere around 80 for road driving and 90 at the most for idle.

    Your cooling fans should come on around 90 and lower the temp a little,and keep it constant,

    If the fans don't come on, on idle the car will probably overheat,

    I wouldn't let it get near 100 if i were you

    Mine sits around 85-90 now that the thermostat isn't stuck wide open.

    That is a little high ,

    But so long as it comes down from there it is ok,

    you could think about renewing your thermostat though

    80 - 85 while driving,

    90 in traffic / idle -- Until fan kicks in then it drops to about 80-85 lol.
