i ha dhtis on my vivaro the type of handle i had was a cadle type rather than the push rod type. if its the cable type they tend to split where the kind of wire is ended off i just put a self tapping screw with a big washer on and it works better than factory. lol have a look tho m8 not too difficult to fix

just done one today on a vauxhall vivaro which i believe is basically the same van.

if it is the same problem, one of the small bars from the mechanism has came of the back handle ,it is a bit of a pain in the ass to connect it again ,the inner panel needs to come off and the torque bolts on the latch removed, also for easier access you should take out the two nuts that attach the back handle,or it is even harder to attach the loose rod.

when you look up inside at the machanism you should see where the rod should go into it is a small blue clip.

i hope it is the same issue and this helps a bit.

the guy who came to us had tried to force the doors shut with a lot of stuff in the back of the van and this caused the bar to break loose.
