    Spacers 10mm... anyone running them?

Anyone on here running 10mm spacers on their astra? Ive been searching for hubcentric but they seem to start in about 15mm (im guesing to clear the centre bore.)

Just purchased 10mm spacers and longer nuts but now im a little worried theres not enough centre bore for the wheel to sit on... Any advice?

Theres still around a 4-5mm lip for the wheel to sit on but im wondering if thats going to be enough. Ive taken the car for a drive and no wheel wobble or anything, just a little uneasy about the pressure the bolts will be under...

    Whats your thoughts

    IMO definitely not enough

You need proper 73.1mm Hubcentric spacers. Looks like there is way too much room around those hubs.

Im not worried about the space around the hubs so much mate, thats not the issue, im worried about the amount left for the wheel to sit on.

The onlyhubcentric spacers ive found in 10mm are 'semi hubcentric' so they have the exact centre bore 73.1 but still have no lip for the wheel to sit on.

Normally mate, the proper hubcentric spacers have like a hub on them as such.

Aswell, are your alloy bores countersunk around the edges or just a flat edge as such? If they're countersunk you'll have about 2-3mm of hub for the wheel to sit on if that.

i cant get hold of proper hubcentrics in a size as small as 10 mm The wheels do indeed have a tiny chamfer, around 1mm, unsure whether to just opt for 5mm's or mill these down to around 7mm.

Ive got the nuts for the 10mm spacers now though, would these be to long to use on 5mm or 7mm? as in is there anything to stop the nut going right through the thread of the hub??

What are the thread lengths on the Nuts mate? I know standards are about 26.1mm

Starting to show my halfords anorak side now as long as they're not about 36mm long nuts then you should be fine mate

So if i mill these speacers down to 7mm the longer nuts could be to long and the short to short, or i couldmake life easy and opt for 5mm spacing and use the original bolts...

Not quite gonna have the stance im after then though... and its a waste of the £70 i spent on bolts!

I'm running 8mm spacers all round on the VXR....

Got them from FK : http://www.fk-automotive.de/Spurverb...20&ci=168-2834

Much better fit with the boltholes compared to your pic.
Not had any issues with the wheels.

Yes also running longer bolts...cant quite remember off hand length
