Question Feel like an arse for asking but.....

Why is it my 2.0 only goes to 120mph on the clock yet a 1.6 goes up to 140mph? I was looking into Plazma dial and noticed that they start at 140.
as far as I'm aware mine are standard SRI dials. Can 140's be fitted without adjusting anything?

This is odd. I know a couple of people with 1.6's and theirs go to 140. Even our lasses 1.4 Tig goes to 140 on the dials. I know the 2.0 is gutless but come on I'm just wondering now does any one else have 120's regardless of engine size and can the 140 dial fit straight on?

This model has a top speed of 129mph surely there is no way it left the factory with a speedo that only reads to 120? Perhaps it's instruments where change for some reason, either failure or worst case to clock it?

these are white SRi dials though. In fairness if it had been clocked I doubt it would read 130,000 but then again I could be wrong. I'll try and get a pic up later of them and you can pass judgement on that but the mrs has took it to work today so might take a while

Just managed to get a quick snap. I did notice there is a line just after 120 so that could take it to 130 but I'm still unsure

Take a look at this post, they could be 1.8 sport dials?

Well that explains it then. I've got a mate at work with a 1.8 sport didn't eve think to look at his. Think I'll keep digging and find out if these are standard fit on the early models and if thayer can be changed to 140's. Cheers for your help everyone
