Mk5 Astra SRi or MK4 Seat Ibiza FR?

I'm torn between 2 cars at the minute

    The astra sri 150 1.9
or the seat ibiza fr 1.9

I prefer the looks of the astra, but the ibiza seems to have much more on board kit than the astra? sucha s climate control, cruise control, stiched FR seats etc.

Perhaps its pointless asking this question on an astra owners forum but which car do you think I should go for?
Or perhaps something totally different to the two?

I'm looking to spend about 6k to 7k on my next car, and I'd like it to be a similar spec to the ibiza fr, or astra sri

presumeably it needs to be diesel? and hatchback sorta size 3 or 5 door?

the FR has alot more kit but feels very cheaply put together, my one had rattles here there and everywhere and bits falling off, may just be a one off but many other owners reported the same

for that money you can probably get a Golf GT tdi whith a decent spec level

Yeah I'm looking for a nice little diesel hatch
I thought about the gt-tdi's but a £7000 golf will have a high mileage on it, where as you can get a £7000 astra with a lot lower mileage on it

I got my 2006 1.9cdti with xp kit, 65K FSH for £6700 a month ago, already got a tuning box on it and i love it to bits!

A mate of mine has a newer leon FR 170 with the cupra kit on and it feels very well put together and has lots of nice wee gadgets but it was 16K :O

Theyre a cheap car for decent money, astra Mk5 is a good car for decent money
