Question Falken FK452 or Toyo T1R?

    Hey all,

Looking for some new front tyres for the Passat, I want something decent, that'l hold the road well in all weather conditions (No Nankang NS2's for me)

Looking at these two at the minute, but hearing positive and negative things about both, so its proving a little difficult making my mind up, does anyone have experience of any of these tyres?

I do have a set of Toyo T1R's that I've put on my dads Scenic, but that car only covers 2000 miles a year and is never driven in wet/snowy/icy conditions so it wont be accurate asking him.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for some tyres around the £55 each mark from Camskill in 205/55/16 fitment?

    Cheers

    Asim

shame u werent after 17s cos u could have bought my winter tyres!

    Have u considered Uniroyal Rainsports?

These are the excellent in the rain and v good in the dry. Not good in snow though. Then again no summer tyre will be in reality

There was some winter tyres for sale on here just the other day might be good if u fancy swapping them over to your rims if theyre the right size.... if so, might be worth some serious consideration

Out of the 2 tyres u mention however I couldnt say... Falkens were terrible when i had them altho a lot of ppl love em

EDIT: theres some good deals in that tyre size on camskill site under the winter tyre section..... highly recommendable with the time of year etc.

Im running Michelin Alpin this year as opposed to Nokian WR previous years - wouldnt waste money on summer tyres this time of year. Winter tyres being ideal for temps under 7*c - food for thought anyway.

I've had both, currently got a set of Falkens, not much in it to be honest, both pretty good for the money
