    Unhappy lambda sensor

    iv got a lot of black soot around my exhaust tip, i clean it and its black a couple miles later. Iv been told it could be the lambda sensor?

    or its a sign your burning oil.quite alot by the sounds of it

    yeeah iv been told it could be the lambda sensor that's making it burn oil?

    nope no lights on dash

    what could be causing it do burn oil? :O

    ohh and yeah its using a lot of oil, have to top it up every week

    iv got same problem,rather seals or rings are ****ed. Massive job! iv just left mine,cheaper to top up with oil

    well for seals and rings its basically an engine rebuild. about £450 - £500 i think,unless someone on here do it for you. have you got your engine management light on?
