    new astra owner

Hello, i bought an 2007 astra estate 1.8vvt design yesterday and very pleased with it. Lovely to drive and the looks inside are nice with part leather seats and gloss black dash.
Drove down to bristol today 240 mile round trip, did it with ease put £30 in and got there and back that works out about 40mpg.
Just wondering though after looking in the manual it says start driving as soon as you start the vehicle from cold to stop engine wear. Ive always let my engines run a bit after starting from cold because to me driving as soon as youve started it from cold would wear the engine more.
Just wondered what you lot do ?

You should Always jump in and drive off asap to minimise engine wear from a cold engine.
