    vauxhall astra 1.6 sxi 2002 remote central locking problem!

    Hi all was wondering if anyone can help me,

    Ive been trying to sort my remote central locking remote today but just can not get it to work, ive tryed 2 differant fobs and still not working, ive tryed the put in postion2 press unlock etc etc but still nufink,

    Put the op com on today and tryed doing that its telling me its found it and to press buttons severall times which ive done but still cant get it to do the central locking?? im out off answers only thing i can fink of is maybee a fuse but when i put key on outside locks and turn the centrall locking works!! Help

    Changed the battery at all? does the little red light come on on the fob when you press a button?

    Changed batterie and the light does flash on the fob

    oh and have checked fuse for the central locking1

    I would suggest taking the fob apart (careful that the chip on the inside of the key part doesnt fall), opening up the 2 halves and laying a small piece of folded card on top of the electrical part, underneath where the button would sit and press against. Press the 2 halves back together and reassemble your key. Should work then

    As said above worked for mine what happens is the solder brakes making a poor connection, i used one of the rubber nubs off the kitched cubard doors.

    Hi thanks for the replys but ive tryed that and still nothink wot is wrong? ive even got another fob and still cant get to work on the car HELP PLEASE!!

    Does anyone have a phone number i could ring u and explain excatly wot im doing and maybee wot im not doing right, i cant believe how easy it was to do immobilizer on the fob but how hard its becoming to sort central locking fob problem out!

    Right ive had the fob checked and it is the right one for my car but still doesnt work, wot else could it be or am i going to have to take it to vauxhall to charge me a fortune??

    Help please
