    Sports button

Hi there. Can someone please tell me what the sport button actually does and any negative effects it could have ie loss of mpg etc. I wanna press it but wanna know what it does.

its changes full throttle from foot to the floor to foot half way to the floor, so effectively it doubles the pressure you place on the pedal, and if you have IDS suspention it makes the suspention stiffer.

press it that what its there for, lol
makes the throttle response faster, steering lighter, stiffens dampers.
as to mpg i always find myself putting my foot down when the sport button is pressed so it so mpg goes down. also if you hold the sport button down puts in to sport mode and turns traction control off.

First bit is not true. CDTI 150's make 150 with the sports button pressed and 150 without it pressed - it simply changes the throttle sensitivily.
As mentioned the suspension is only changed if the car has IDS+ fitted. It was an optional extra, and not very common.
    Steering rate is also improved.
I don't use mine much on my cdti as I think i becomes to responsive, but under the same driving conditions fuel economy remained the same.
