Open boot, where the grab handle is near the lock on the boot lid, remove the push in rivet on the left, and the torx (T20) on the right inside the handle. Pull trim off.

Then carefully pull the actual trim panel off itself, there are 8 white clips holding it into the boot lid. Once the trim is off then with a pair of pliers gently pull the white clips which are still in the bootlid out and slide them back into where they should go on the trim. Now on the right you will see a connector block which is for the boot lock, unclip this.

You will then see 6 nuts holding the strip onto the boot lid, remove all 6 nuts. Lower the bootlid down and gently pull the trim off of the car.

DON'T CLOSE THE BOOT WHILST THE STRIP IS OFF!!!! Becuase the locking button is not attached then you will not be able to open the boot. If this happens, then you will need to grab the lock button, climb inside the car from the front into the boot, plug in the button and press it to open the boot.

Re-fitting in Haynes terms is the reverse of removal. Put strip back in, do up all 6 nuts, plug in boot button, put trim back on, put grab handle back in with push rivet and torx screw ... then stand back and admire.

Easy yes, don't shut the boot as you will need to climb in to open it!
