57 Plate - Astra Estate Club 1.8i 16v VVT- What MK what letter?!

Hi, great forum, I`ve been reading all afternoon on and off. I`ve just purchased the Club Estate 1.8i which seems excellent so far. Plenty of room for the family (still mods to come ) and a good drive. Now I`ve been planning ahead already, a few sneaky mods to come but I`ve not a clue what Mk or model letter it is. I must have spent a good 30minutes earlier this afternoon and the last hour but I`m totally confused.
I`m guessing from the age (07) and some googling and searching that it is a MK5 and Astra H estate ?

Is this right or is it not dependant on age but on what model I`ve actually gone for? I`ve not got the docs with me as they are with my parents until the weekend but I fancied knowing sooner so that I can start looking for parts - despite my first post being a rubish one!

I take it the Mark (MK) is just the style version of the car but what is the letter all about that I see when I`m looking at mod parts?

Hope someone can help me out.

essentially the mk is the Vauxhall designation and the letter is the Opel

    Opel Astra H
    Vauxhall Astra Mk5

Nowadays however they tend to be used by both

    seats.

Hi guys, thanks for the reply - OK, understand now.

On another note, the only thing I had on my list of "should haves" is leather seats which it has not got. It just has the standard black cloth coverings. I`ve sourced some half leather seats, full set back front and door cards but they are £400 which seems a lot to me. Anyone any opinions - I was expecting to pay a little less than that? Also, is this something I could fit or would I need to pay someone to do it? I know I swapped the seats on an old MGF and it was a case of just unbolting them and putting the new ones in place - would it be the same for the Astra?

    All the best.

Easy unbolt job - front two seats also have a loom you will need to unplug. Club did not come with leather seats as standard - may have been an option to get full leather seats but i very much doubt anyone has.

Ok, am I right in thinking ANY half or full leather H seats will fit, or does it need to say "estate club H"?

I picked up a set of half leathers from a 5 door for my estate.
The font seats fit fine, the top part of the rear bench fits but the bottom does'nt (the 5 door didn't have 60/40 split like mine and they didn't fold forward like the estate). I am going to use the half leather cover to re-trim my bench.
The front doorcards fit but the rear cards are too short.

    Edit
£400 seems a lot, mine were £125 including 4 door cards

Ashley - was that a bit of luck on ebay or was it from a regular supplier?
