T reg 1.6 Astra not starting

Just popped round a friends house to have a look at his car for him.

    The story:

He lent the car to a mate for 6 weeks as he was away and didnt need the car. He phoned his mate to say he needed the car back and was told it wont start.
His mate told him he dropped the key and lost the 'bit' inside. That has now been sorted and the light doesnt flash when its turning over like it was.

But it still doesnt start. His mate also told him the oil needed topping up..............Its now about 2 litres over filled. He went ballistic at him and now they are not talking (This was all about 2 weeks ago). He also found a reciept in the door ocket for a fuel pump ??????

This is where I get involved.

Just been round and read the codes and this is what I got:

    2001|Astra-G|Engine|Z 16 SE

Total number of fault codes: 6

P1614 - Immobiliser Wrong Signal Received
    (04) - Not present

P1230 - Main Relay Stuck Closed
    (0B) - Not present

    P0352 - Ignition 2 Control Circuit
    (00) - Present

    P0353 - Ignition 3 Control Circuit
    (00) - Present

P0335 - No Engine RPM Signal
    (00) - Not present

P0443 - Fuel Tank Ventilation Valve Voltage Low
    (04) - Not present

After saving the codes I cleared them and tried starting it but it still wont start. There is an RPM signal when cranking.

That was as far as I got as it was raining and I had no tools.

Back round there Sunday to drain the extra oil out and check the plugs. Would the extra oil stop it from starting? Could it have covered the plugs in oil? Any other ideas?

you say the bit inside has been replaced, has he had it tech2'd to reprogram the transponder chip to the ecu? would explain the no start bit, as for the over zelous oil issue, best bet would be to just empty the tank and refil it (he may as well do a full service at the same time, perfect excuse lol)

Off round there Sunday to drain some oil, whip the plugs out and give t a general good looking over.

    Now I am stumped.

Checked the injectors were pulsing by putting a bulb on the connections and they are pulsing.

Pulled the outlet from the fuel filter off and turned on ignition and fuel came out so the fuel filter isnt blocked.

I can get the car to tick over (But rough) by spraying a bit of easy start into the throttle body.

When just the ignition is on there is no fuel pressure at the rail (Pressing the shrader valve on the rail) but when I am keeping it running with easy start there is pressure.

    Any other ideas????????

Not 100% sure but doesn't fuel pump only run on cranking or running? (controlled by tachiometric relay) so doesn't run on ignition only. Will possibly give a quick burst on first switching on (priming).

If spark is there, fuel is there, the only other thing is compression, presuming that the spark is occuring at the correct time and that the fuel is good clean petrol (not 50 percent diesel or anything silly)

Next thing I am going to try is clamp the return of the fuel pressure regulator to eliminate that and also been told that the crank position sensor can sometimes get over energised so need to be unplugged for a few minutes to discharge any magneticness it has.

Also how can I tell what fuse is the fuel pump so I can see how much current its drawing?
