    mk3 gsi rev counter/speedo prob!!

Hi all, i have a astra gsi with a v6 engine fitted, the speedo is out of the calibra but is electronic drive, i want to re fit the cable drive speedo but i've been told the v6 rev counter is different in operation to a 2.0 item? How do i get around this? Do i have to change all the circuit boards and the flexible cabling on the back of the clocks? Help!! Don't want to break any of the clocks in the process!!
    Any advice greatly appreciated!!
    Danny.

    Welcome Danny

It is correct that you can't use a 2.0 revcounter in a car with a V6 engine. This si simply down to the number of cylinders

Unfortunatly I dan't know how they get around this though and if the revcounter just gets removed from one set of clocks and put into the other
