Boot central locking not working, Help please

Hi I have a Astra convertible on a 03 plate, When I open and close my locks using the key all the locks open except the boot, Now the roof ECU is missing and wondered if this is why my boot is not opening and locking or is there another reason as to why it would not work?

    Regards Keith

Has it just stopped working as I think there are 3 positions for the key to be in.

    1: Locked
    2: Unlocked
3: Lock/Unlock with the central locking.

Have you tried they in the 3 different positions?

Pretty sure (99%) that the locking is nothing to do with the roof ecu.

Unplug the motor and put a test light across it and do the locking to see if its getting power to the motor.

Talking Astra G Cabriolet boot locking fix

If your doors are locking but not your bootlid with the keyfob you need to have a look at the wiring from the body to the bootlid.
As you look into the boot from the back of the car look at the left boot hinge and you will see the locking wiring going from the bootlid behind the plastic panel in your boot.
Using a torch follow the wiring down behind the left side boot plastic and you will see a multiplug and also the brown ground wire bolted to the car with a 10mm nut.
You will see broken or bare wires on one or both sides this connector where the cable has been flexing as you open and shut the boot which is a design fault with this model,
Re-connecting these broken connections is the solution to your problem, either bridge and solder them and heat shrink or you could use butt crimps for a quick but less reliable fix.
    Hope this info is helpful.
