    Parts and work for z20let rebuild?

    Am just getting parts together for rebuilding my z20let to 350-400bhp. Got gm oil pump, water pump, timing belt kit, headset, headbolts, bottom end gasket set. What pistons and rods, big end and main bearings recommended? Will use arp bolts.

    Also what clutch and lsd?? Need to get phone sorted to phone gman!

    bearings will be down to the person building your engine, some use glyco some use ACL, or mahle or normal GM ones sometimes.

    its all personal choice with what you want, talk it through with your engine builder for block and head spec. its all down to how much you want to spend

    Bearing choice also comes down to size required, if you have a crank regrind you will need undersize bearings, however vauxhall have around 4 or 5 different bearing sizing groups which are colour coded depending on tolerance, it can be difficult to get it spot on but all you can do is get the closest match and plastigauge them up.

    Personally I have gone for ACL bigend and Glyco main end bearings both +0.25 size.

    again a good builder "should" know all this and do things properly.
