    Pedal Test: Codes (0370) & (540)

    Hi guys,

Just managed to get some codes from the pedal test.

First code is (0370), then (540), anyone know what these codes mean.

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Thanks

The light is intermittent, and sometimes the engine ticks over more than usual in the first and second gear changing, and sometimes a small judder at times when the light comes on, just what ive felt, might be nothing to do with the code.

Dont know what P0540 is but P0370 will be pump position sensor, this is most likely the common edu failure on these cars unfortunately.

Shouldnt cause you any major damage i doubt, just a nuisance although it could fail without warning.

As your astra is older than 2004 your fault code means the following
P0370 “Pump Position Sensor Incorrect Signal"

    code 0370

So its definately not the crankshaft sensor, which I was thinking about.

"Pump Position Sensor Incorrect Signal" what does this mean, is there something wrong with the pump (hope not).
